Basic Dj Course

Joint Nation School is a dj academy where you learn the art of DJing and Mixing whilst perfecting EQing and the understanding of a crowd.

We teach the art of DJing in a different format to most places.

The Basic course is for those of you with little or no experience behind the decks.
We will take our time to teach you all of the basics and make sure you gain a good understanding of the equipment.
We believe you need plenty of time and space to learn a good foundation, concentrating on pitch matching, beat mixing, musical structure, phrasing and mixing boards techniques.

This course is both suitable for both turntable and CDJ's.
The Basic course is spread across Four weeks with two sessions  per week, this gives you plenty of time between sessions to practice either at home or in our studio.
Practice time in the studio is included in the course, and there is always a tutor on hand to help and advise.
With only four students on the course, you will receive the tutors full attention and wont feel crowded or rushed.

During the course we will help you construct your first mini set to be performed on the last night.
We ask that prior to the course that you buy five or six records reflecting your musical style -
it is easier for you to learn on music that you will be practicing with at home as well as in our class sessions.
